I've been collecting photos for the past year from architecture and decor magazines for my own original modern dollhouse. The more I see, the more I realize that I can start out with a basic boxy structure...put in floor to ceiling acrylic windows and maybe raise it off the ground and add some cool wide stairs leading to the entrance. so true! I've been thinking about building my own for a while and was very much inspired by a plexi-bookcase.
Hello! I saw a great single story bookcase at Ikea with sliding glass doors which would be great for a modern dollhouse....maybe with the addition of a window or two.
I just received my Sunset Publishers's "Things to make for Children" from the 70s with the 5 modern dollhouses. They are fantastic! I'll be posting pictures and the ISBN number so folks can order from Amazon, or half.com etc....as there are several of these books from different months with different things inside.
